Improve productivity & security with Windows Autopatch

Updating endpoints on a network can be a daunting task, testing updates before a rollout can take time and delays to patches going live can cause all manner of headaches.
Available now for customers with Microsoft 365 E3 and E5 Licenses, Windows Autopatch aims to tackle some of these issues, keeping Windows and Microsoft Office on enrolled endpoints automatically updated at no additional cost. This frees up your time and resources to provide real value.
For organisations that use Windows Autopatch, the second Tuesday of every month will become ‘just another Tuesday’.
1. What is Windows Autopatch & how can it help?
Windows Autopatch is a cloud service that automates updates for Windows, Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise, Microsoft Edge, and Microsoft Teams improving productivity and security across your organisation. Some of the key challenges Windows Autopatch helps you overcome are:
- Closing your security gaps – Keeping your software current limits potential vulnerabilities and helps minimise your attack vector.
- Optimising IT admin resources – By automating routine endpoint updates, your IT pros have more time to create value.
- On-premise infrastructure – Transitioning to the world of Software as a Service (SaaS) allows you to minimise your investment in on-premise hardware as updates are delivered directly from the cloud.
- Easy to enrol – Autopatch comes with a built-in readiness-assessment tool that will check relevant settings to see that they are all configured to work with Autopatch. If any are not configured properly, the service will then provide admins with instructions on how to resolve those issues. This makes Autopatch easy to enrol and minimises the time investment required from your IT admins to get started.
- Minimise end-user disruption – releasing updates in sequential rings allows any issues to be immediately flagged and remediated before they reach a wider audience. This remediation is then applied to future deployments, minimising end-user disruption.
Windows Autopatch helps reduce the strain on your scarce IT resources in the planning and deployment of updates for Windows, Microsoft 365 Apps, Microsoft Edge or Teams. By crafting careful rollout sequences and communicating with you throughout the release, your IT Admins are freed up to focus on higher-value tasks.
2. Can we use Windows Autopatch?
